1. There came a rose of sunny hue,
A single yellow bloom,
It bore a message, old yet new
And brightened all my room.
Those petals layered and closely bound
Gave depth to its pure design,
My mind was stirred, and echo found
From memory’s joy-filled mine.
2. Ah yes! There was another Rose
The Brightest and the Best,
Who came to vanquish all our foes
And give us Sabbath Rest.
In Gospel Order He lived on earth,
Obedient to the end,
That men may have a second birth
And so to heaven ascend.
3. In that same Order we should serve
By taking up our cross,
And following Him who never sinned,
To save us from our loss.
Trials of life, like those petals layered
Give depth to the character.
Keep faith in Him and in His word,
That you may never err.
4. Rejoice in Him through every day,
Sing praises in your heart,
And give him glory when you pray,
With angels bear your part.
Rejoice! Again I say rejoice!
Remember the golden rose.
Unite and with one heart and voice
Proclaim your Masters joys.
