The School of Jesus

1. If we want to be by the crystal sea,
We will need to be enroll’d in Jesus’ School.
For there’s much we know which we learn’d below,
That will drag us down and contradict His rule.

He will cut, very deep,
But remember that His schooling is the best!
And the path we climb will be steep,
But it’s only so that we can pass the test!

2. Tho’ the plough cut deep, till the earth would weep,
Yet there’s confidence a harvest will return.
For He works alone on the precious stone,
And the students of His schooling really learn.

3. Do you think it strange, that we all must change?
We have much that we must lose, but more to gain.
Tho’ our hearts may burn from the truths we learn,
There’s a healing that’s accomplish’d by this pain.

4. If we heed Him still, and obey His will,
We will graduate to Higher schools above.
Where we will not die, neither shall we cry,
But we’ll learn and keep on growing in His love.
